A person who is brave enough to come out of their comfort zone and take risk, someone who never gives up even when things may seem impossible, a clever and creative mind, and to top it all with a heart that only means good; all mold together to make a hero. Courage is something humans are not born with, rather a trait that is developed through time. In order to truly be courageous, one must know how to handle the challenges that we get faced with in life and try to get through them. Courage is also about taking risks, taking yourself out of your comfort zone, and making the effort to try and do everything you can. At times this can even mean sacrifice to a certain extent, especially for someone you care for. Mulan is†¦show more content†¦Persistence is an important quality in a hero because this is what keeps them moving forward and shows how when you do not give up, you can succeed. Once Mulan or â€Å"Ping† as she is now a male, made it to the training grounds, she was really able to test just how persistent she is. Throughout her training, she was teased for being weaker than the other guys. They tripped her, put a bug in her shirt and even threw stones at an extra fast speed during an exercise. Their captain created an exercise as a test of strength where you have to climb to the top of a pole, and bring down an arrow that was shot up there. Not to mention that there are two weights on either side of their wrists as they are climbing up. None of the men are actually able to reach the top. As the night comes to an end, Mulan is very beaten up about how she was not as strong as the other men, and looked almost as she was about to give up. She then stops in front of the pole everyone tried to climb up early that day and spends the entire night trying to reach that arrow. They reach morning, and when all the men wake up, there is an arrow on the ground; the arrow from the top of the pole. Mulan kept trying and did not give up, therefore she succeeded and reached the arrow. Ingenious is an interesting word that means a collection of traits in one. Clever, original, and inventive. An ingenious person thinks outside of the box and has a creative mind.
